Bolt Force Determination

BOLT FORCE DETERMINATION

Precise Axial Forces.
The stud is only elongated – no nut turning is needed. Therefore the full load bearing capacity of the stud material can be used to withstand the axial stud forces. There is no shear stress because external torque applies.

Due to the change of force flow, the residual bolt force after the tensioning process is somewhat lower that the tensioning force. Our BoltTensioners are able to determine the residual bolt force and document it in a temper proof JobSheet – this makes hydraulic bolt tensioning much more reliable.
